Decisions taken in PM’s unprecedented US visit will help build a new India 

India’s ruling party, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US visit as “unprecedented” and commended that many strategic and considerate decisions were taken during his visit. BJP claimed that these decisions will help build a “new India” with capital progress. 

At a press conference held at the party’s headquarters, BJP leader and Union minister of India, Smriti Irani, mentioned that PM Modi’s visit to the US has followed with “significant outcomes” in the areas of defense, association concerning strategic technology, a copartnership in renewable energy, and also critical minerals alliance. 

“Several diplomatic and strategic decisions were taken during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US which will help build a new India with the resolve of Atmanirbhar Bharat, and provide opportunities for economic progress to Indians,” Smriti stated. “Fifteen standing ovations and over a hundred applause to the prime minister’s speech at the US Congress, this was not only the hallmark of the prime minister’s visit to the US but what is unprecedented is the Indo-US partnership in many critical areas which will help serve a better future the Indian populace,” she added.

“Micron Technology Inc will invest 825 million dollars to build a new semiconductor assembly and test facility in India with the support of the Indian government. The combined investment is valued at 2.7 billion dollars,” Irani claimed. She added It will not only create job opportunities but will also uplift the vision of PM Modi of ‘Make in India’.

“A two million dollar grant program for joint development and commercialization of artificial intelligence and quantum technologies was launched,” she said. “The MoU signed between American multinational General Electric and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for the manufacture of GEF 414 jet engines in India is being hailed across the country”, she added.

Irani alleged, “A pro-planet prime minister (Modi) has helped actualize India-US new and emerging renewable energy tech action platform. The launch of this platform will accelerate cooperation in green hydrogen, offshore and onshore wind, and other emerging technologies”. She detailed that this tribune will add to the world’s largest green hydrogen mission launched by India. Smriti Irani stated, “This is just a small reflection of the big Indian agenda that was serviced by Pradhan Sevak (PM Modi) during his US visit,” and adding to that she said, “The oldest democracy through dialogue and diplomacy has yet again delivered for the people of India.”
